Plumbing, mechanical and electrical construction is regulated at the state level. Prequalification is required before bidding or performing any highway work for the state.

- Nonresident contractors must post a surety bond or cash deposit for 10% of the contract price or 3 times the tax liability to be incurred under the contract with the Oklahoma Tax Commission.
Oklahoma does not have reciprocity with any other states.
